Our little characters

 Aunt Pam was the Fairy Grandmother at her friend's show here in Logan and the kids were able to go and model some of the clothes around the show.

Alexis loved sprinkling "fairy dust" aka confetti on the wishers head. Madison was clearly intrigued with the magical wand. They granted wishes ranging from ponies to dates and marriages.

They loved playing with Aunt Pam and coloring in the kids' room.

Madison absolutely loves the color yellow so this dress was the perfect one for her, she was so excited for her "favourite color lellow".

 Here is John taking Jocelyn home, I like this picture because he looks so handsome with my purse!

They were spoiled rotten at the show. They had donuts, the Winder guy gave them chocolate milk and one of the vendors gave them some squish balls, which they loved!

Madison and the rash

Yes, this is Madison's butt. However it's only a small portion of her cute cheek so I'm sure she'll forgive me.

What's the purpose in posting these picture you ask . . . Madison got a virus of some sort and we only know this because she got a head to toe rash. The pictures of the rash showed up best in these two hence the reason you get to see how cute her little butt is. 

When Madison is sick she doesn't sleep like other people children that I hear about, in fact none of mine sleep when they get sick. Madison however pees her pants A LOT when she's sick, especially at night. In fact she peed her bed twice a night for two nights in a row - can we say laundry? She's starting to feel better now, how do I know this you ask? She's not asking me to "carry me up" as often.

It's 11-11-10

Only one more year until 11-11-11, how exciting!

Three of the ten cups that they filled up with water and ice. The rags under the chair are to clean up the water mess after they spilled a couple of times.

Cheetos and grapes mashed into the floor.

Play-doh. This mess is somewhat contained which is an anomaly in this house.

Why am I showing you my amazingly dirty floor you ask? When John left for work the floor was nice and clean, he'd swept and mopped it. When he came home from work this is what it looked like, it only took a couple of hours but boy did the kids make sure that all his hard work was for naught. Poor John was amazed when he came home from work and saw this lovely mess. I swear I watch my kids but sometimes there are too many messes to keep up with and the floor happened to be on the bottom of the list. 

halloween decorating

On Utah Halloween Carrie and I went shopping to get some craft supplies so we could make some fun Halloween blocks and a pumpkin block. We failed to realize just how long it would take to find all the needed items however, we told the guys about an hour or two would be all. Three hours later we arrived home, oops. The husbands were not so excited with us being gone that long because we'd left all our kids at home with them. Because we still had trick-or-treating and dinner to do, actually putting the craft together that night would not be possible. So we got together on the true Halloween to do it. We again misjudged how long it would take, but we had fun doing it.

I wore 2" high heels all day so I wouldn't walk on my black pants and my feet hurt the next day so badly it was shocking.

I also made a little candy corn ball which looks like a sea anemone. I think it's cute and the flys in our house think it is free food.

I couldn't handle that the backs of the Halloween blocks were going unused, so I made fall time blocks. Once Halloween is over I can turn the blocks, remove the ghost and waalaa. . . a second use! John helped to make the fall ones and other than the pink paper that was red when we chose it, I think they turned out so cute!

Homemade

I made this dress all by myself. It came at a cost though.

See the nice bruise? If you click on the picture you can see a small red dot in it, this is the entry point. Being the brilliant person that I am while I was sewing the skirt that was pinned I decided to cross my legs - bad idea. As soon as I crossed my legs I could feel the pin go into my thigh. I uncrossed my legs as soon as I felt it, but it was too late. I had to physically pull the needle out of my leg it was so deep. I didn't dare look at how deep it was because I knew I wouldn't be able to pull it out. My leg hurt like a beast for the rest of the day.

John is also becoming very good at making things. He made this shoe rack for me so that we would have some floor space restored to walking! Doesn't it look good?

And Madison is becoming very good at making her own things too. She LOVES to eat toothpaste. We don't allow her to do this so she sneaks off to do it, I just happened to catch her this time!

When daddy's in charge

 John was in charge of dressing her and when I got her I knew something wasn't quite right, but I couldn't figure it out. Then I saw it! Do you notice the differences in the socks? They are a pair, but I pulled the left one tight so you could see how big her foot really is. John put her in Alexis' socks because girl socks are girl socks right? I think I can handle the wrong sized socks, it's much better than the wrong sized diaper right?

Playing in the leaves

This picture didn't show it really well, but the sun line was the line between the frosted grass and the non-frosted grass. Yes, my kids were outside playing in the freezing cold and loving it!

First Feeding

My baby is now 3 months old and getting bigger and bigger every day. She did well eating her first "meal" and she's liked each subsequent feeding too. We're starting on the right foot!

Dare week

Crazy hair day.

Costume day/ Halloween party.

All week they had different things they had to do for Dare week. They had red clothes day, crazy sock day, crazy hair day, PJ's day and costume day. I didn't get a picture each day but the two I did get were so cute. I loved Madison's tongue hanging out in the costume picture, that's my little girl!

Pumpkin painting

Drew painted his pumpkin all over including the stem. His stem took almost 24 hours to dry because of the amount of paint on it.

Madison gooped her paint all over the pumpkin, it didn't dry until the following morning.

Alexis painted her pumpkins with stripes of colors.

This was Drew's pumpkin before he went wild with his paints. I knew it wouldn't last long so I made sure that we had a picture of it before he destroyed it.

Getting ready for Halloween

We made sugar halloween shaped sugar cookies with the kids and these are the only pictures we were able to get. They cut the dough like they were supposed to, but they were much more interested in eating the dough off the table. 

We also made some ghosts to hand from the ceiling - not too spooky though, John and I didn't want woken up all month with crying kids!
