Fire Station part 2

The clothes proved to be a little too heavy for poor Drew.

Even with small clothes, he still looks cute!

After the BYU game John, Drew and Gma and Gpa Wadley came to the fire station to take the tour. Drew had been so excited to see the station and because he went to the game he didn't make the first tour. Alexis enjoyed trying things since it was just us.
Thanks Ryan for giving two tours in one day!

Fire Station

Ryan - he put his fire get-up on as fast as he could. The kids loved it! It took him 40 seconds!

Trying to get the kids to calm down for a group picture.

The best we got!

Uncle Ryan took Angie, Carrie and my kids for a tour through his fire station. They all loved it. Cameron was so excited that he couldn't quit asking questions long enough to hear the answers - it was funny. Josh was very concerned with what they would do if they were stuck at the top of the empire state building and ran out of oxygen or something. Overall it was fun and I think all the kids loved it.

Oh what a morning! And evening!

Jocelyn has been having trouble eating and sleeping. Which for every parent means one thing - whining.
We put her to bed at about 11:30 last Tuesday night and she woke us up at 1:15 screaming. Usually if we go in and pick her up and put her back in bed she'll go right back to sleep. However she was intent on screaming until 2:15. I was so exhausted that I gave up, that's right I gave up. I brought her to bed and fed her so she'd go to sleep. The only problem was that she didn't want to go to sleep, she ate and then she stayed awake until 2:45 playing with my face! She then woke up no less than six more times to feed before 8:00! I was so tired - needless to say.
Alexis came in sometime during the 7 o'clock hour to let me know that she woke up early and she was going to go pee and then flush. Yes, she woke me up to tell me this. Then she woke me up again to tell me that she was going to go watch t.v. quietly so that she wouldn't wake anybody up! Seriously.
Then at 8:00 Drew comes into my room and says: "I need my puke bucket emptied!" If that doesn't wake you right up I don't know what would. Not only was I not aware that he wasn't feeling well, but I had no idea that he'd actually lost all of his stomach contents. Thankfully he's trained to only puke in something - bucket, trash, toilet - you get the idea!
Madison followed Drew in complaining that she needed to pee. My response? Then GO!
The morning was much better once everyone was moving.

You can see the moon shaped cut toward the center of her lip, which goes all the way to the edge of her lip, and her left center tooth is higher than it used to be. Yes, that is a band-aid on her face. It made her feel better.

We kicked it back up for the evening hours though. Alexis was giving Madison a ride on a kid chair around the tiled kitchen. They hit a bump and Madison and chair fell to the ground. Madison cut her lip from the side to the middle. She also loosened the same two teeth that she'd loosened last time. Her gums are still purple and swollen.
While I was trying to clean all the blood and get Madison showered John received a text saying that YM was on again and he needed to get over there. So, John leaves me with a baby who refuses to be put down for any reason, a bleeding little girl and a blood mess. I was so excited for all the kids to go to bed that night and for John to get home! Thankfully we didn't have to go get stitches, it could've been much worse!

BYU vs Wyoming

How cute is this picture? I dropped John, Mom Wadley and Drew off on the east side of campus and they had to walk to the bookstore and then to the game.

So proud to be at a "Jazz" game in his new shirt!

How adorable is this picture? He looks like their grandbaby for sure!
They all had a lot of fun and it helped that BYU won! They were also there to see the BYU flash mob!

Mr. Drew

Drew was so into his show that he didn't even realize that I was taking this picture.
Yes, Drew fits in a Bumbo, he's small for his age. In fact Madison weighs more than he does by a pound. If you think that means that Madison rules the roost, you're wrong.

You can barely see the bruise left on her cheek.
While we were in a Dr.'s appointment for John, Drew got mad at Madison and bit her, right in front of the Dr.
We couldn't believe that he'd done it.

Then Drew bit Madison again because he got upset. Needless to say she was not happy.
Drew seems to go through these phases where he forgets that he's not supposed to bite a person.
His favorite thing to say to me is: "Put this in your mind so you don't forget." I turned it around on him told him to put it in his mind that he's not supposed to bite people. He hasn't bitten in awhile now, so clearly he put it in his mind and it hasn't left yet.

Drew is getting big so quickly. He is reading - yes, reading! He is reading the Reading for all Learners books. He is in Set 1, but he's already on book #
He also loves to play the Wii, especially Mario! He can win castles all by himself - he's better than John is! He is also learning to play the piano and he can play Old McDonald - he's very proud of this! He and Alexis like to play songs for each other and then have the other one guess which song it was. He also loves to play with Jocelyn and make her smile! He's growing so quickly, I miss my baby Drew, but not his constant sicknesses!

Are you really leaving me alone - with her?

I laugh every time I see this picture. Jocelyn's face says it all - PLEASE don't make me think that you're going to leave me alone with HER!

PHEW - you're not leaving - THANK YOU!

Madison wanted Jocelyn to sit and watch "Dora Blora" with her. Jocelyn had just woken up and I couldn't resist getting some pictures.

We got dumped on

John is pulling all three kids around the yard because - he's an amazing Dad.

I like the scale of this picture. John is shorter than the snow hill and has to stand on it to set the girls up - that says something.

The kids loved sledding down, which means daddy got a good workout!
I like the little snow balls that are naturally rolling down the hill behind Drew.

Madison was trudging through the snow, it was up to her waist, which made it very difficult, but she was determined!

We went to bed with grass and woke up to this huge amount of snow. The kids were so excited to go play and sled right in their own back yard!
