Alexis' view of us

I'm pretty sure the last two pictures show where the packs of gum I am missing disappeared to.

Alexis loves to go and take pictures of randomness throughout the house. These were some of her better pictures of us this time. She also didn't take "junk" pictures this time! She used to take pictures of the bookshelves, floor, what was on t.v., you get the idea; this time she was all about taking pictures of people!
(She did take some of daddy but since he didn't have his hair done and it was all crazy I didn't put any up.)

St. Patty's Day

Some leprechauns left some candy under our table this year. My children don't actually look excited, no matter how excited they are. Madison was far too tired to function correctly. She insisted that I take her picture again and she put both hands up for some reason.

We went to play at the park afterwards and we discovered that Jocelyn absolutely loves to swing. So much so that when I took her out she cried and cried.

If you look closely you'll see balls dropping out of the helicopter.
To top off our afternoon, we went to a Guinness World Record of 20,000 bouncy balls being dropped out of a helicopter a hundred feet up! Had I realized that it would be so anti-climatic, we probably wouldn't have gone. My anxiety levels were at all time highs. First the helicopter was far to close while it was wavering in the air. It seriously looked like it was going to fall out of the sky. We were on the very front of the crowd so we would've been some of the first hit. Once they were all dropped the kids all went running. The only problem was that Madison fell and then started crying. Some of the college students there were good enough to pick her up and bring her back. Then Alexis and Drew disappeared. Yes, my children ran to get some balls and I couldn't find them. I'm sure you can only imagine how high my anxiety levels were at this point. Luckily I spotted them together and I was able to wrangle them all back to the car! So glad it is all over! And no there weren't enough balls. Some people were kind enough to give each of my kids a ball and then someone heard Madison complain she wanted a yellow one, so they gave her one!

Tent City

We bought a family sized tent for this summers camping adventures. The kids were really excited to set it up and see what it looked like. If we're being honest, the adults were a little excited too!! Since there was snow on the ground we decided to clear the kitchen and set the tent up. It seriously took the entire kitchen area and it was still a little cramped! The kids loved running around it and acting crazy. We can't wait to set it up and use it outside - now to find a place big enough to set it up!

Jocelyn sleeps

While watching t.v. John was pushing Jocelyn around in the doll stroller - yes, she fits, kind of. After a few minutes she started to fall asleep, it was so funny! She was trying to stay awake but just couldn't keep her eyes open. Unfortunately when John took her out of the stroller she woke up and didn't go back to sleep for another hour.

Last night she slept for 10 hours straight!! It was wonderful. This morning she's thrown up twice. I'm beginning to wonder if it was because she was sick and not because she's entering a new phase. It was still wonderful, no matter the reason!

Oobleck

Alexis and Madison were having fun dancing while I was getting my teeth worked on.

Clearly my OCD about getting dirty has rubbed off on Madison a little more than I'd thought it had!

For Family Home Evening we made some Oobleck from the the Dr. Seuss book because it was his birthday! Some of us had fun, others not so much.

Drew couldn't decide if he liked playing with it or not.

Alexis had her very own party.
*I immediately put them all in the tub when they were done. It cleans up nicely and without too much fuss.

Great Grandpa

Grandpa was excited to see some faces he knew. Grandma was sleeping so we let her be.

Madison mixed ALL the cookies I had with some popcorn and a little bit of water. I told her I was going to throw it all away and so she started stuffing her face as quickly as she could.

Madison made her own breakfast. She took all of my nuts and poured them in a bowl, not too bad, easily cleaned. Too bad she poured the rest of the milk in there too. It all hit the garbage because she thought it tasted disgusting.

Madison and her puke bucket. She didn't feel well so she took a puke bucket to bed with her. Yes, we let her sleep like this all night.
