Good Time with the Gaede's

We stopped to have snow cones, which Russ had never had - he really enjoyed them - while we wandered around the zoo.

This peacock had a couple of babies with her. I'd never seen a baby peacock, they're kind of cute.

This is what happens when I walk through our backyard weeds and don't take any allergy medicine. This is the after picture. My eyes were basically swollen shut for nearly an hour. Alexis saw my eyes and she was shocked, she went and said a prayer that my eyes would get better soon. It worked - the next day they were better and after I got some medicine in me they were just fine.

We went to Bear Lake on Monday. Since the 4th of July fell on a Sunday everybody had the 5th off too! After we finished swimming at the Lake we went to get some raspberry shakes. They took FOREVER to get them to us and the kids found some entertainment while we waited. Mary decided to stay up there until our order was ready. Little did she know that she was going to have to be up there for almost half an hour! She did it though!

Happy 80th Grandpa

What better way to end the day than to get in a tub with your swim suit and cousins?

At the end of June we had an impromptu Rodney family reunion, at my apartment. There were 30+ people at the height of the reunion. At the end of June we were also moving from the apartment to the house, I had 12 credits of schooling and John still had to go to work. Was it crazy? YES!!
It was a lot of fun though. My cousin Michelle came from Arizona with her 6 kids, yes, she's crazy too. My cousin Stacy came from California with her mom, daughter and niece, my aunt Melanie came with her family from South Dakota and of course we had my siblings from Utah and my Mom and Grandpa from South Dakota as well.
Grandpa was excited to celebrate his 80th birthday with everyone! We celebrated in our new house that was still completely empty. But the next day all the big kids helped to move from our apartment to the house, in one day! They were amazing - THANK YOU!

Bear Lake

Jocelyn LOVED Madison's new birthday baby. The baby doll is bigger than Jocelyn! Jocelyn was also very intrigued with Steph's dog Mister. He was so good to sit there and get poked while she inspected him.

We all got burnt while at Bear Lake, but no one as badly as poor Grandma Tobi. Grandma was sick for a few days and then she blistered! John had a few blisters and I actually peeled. The kids did not get anything like we did thankfully!

Grandpa Rodney came to play with us, he did not like Bear Lake. It was windy, which is normal for Bear Lake, but there was nothing for him to do since he didn't want to get wet. He was such a good sport though!

Canal Fun in the Country

The canal by our apartment was filled with water, yes they still water by irrigation here, so the kids went to play. They played until it was too dark and cold to continue doing so. Madison had to go to the bathroom while she was playing so she took off her bottoms and popped a squat right in the canal. I didn't notice until she was coming back up.

Fun with the Wiklers

 Uncle John and Jocelyn

 Emma and Alexis

The Gavster - Gavin
We had fun meeting up with our Las Vegas cousins at the park. It was so much fun that we didn't get pictures of all the kids and people there to have fun. Uncle John and Aunt Nancy were getting ready to leave for the MTC, they were headed out to Chile to be Mission President! They'll be great!

Ragnar Fun

Although John didn't race in the Ragnar this year, the kids sat outside and jumped up and down while waving to the runners and cars that were passing by. It was so cute to see them setting up their chairs and eating breakfast outside to watch the runners outside!

LaVerkin River Fun

After Zions we went to stay at Steph's and Ikani's house for a couple of days. Because it was so close to Madison's birthday, we celebrated her 3rd birthday! Steph got her yellow plates and a yellow candle, her favorite colors.
The next day we went to the LaVerkin River to play and have fun.

Drew caught a frog! He was so excited that he caught it. Luckily for the frog he let it go before it accidentally got killed!

Alexis was having fun catching tadpoles in this pool, they were everywhere!

On our way out we saw this cool broken up bridge. It looked like it was usable at one time, but I wouldn't suggest it now.
The kids had so much fun playing with Stephanie and Ikani that they can't wait to go back and play again!
