To The Zoo

Jocelyn was TERRIFIED of this bronze gorilla. She wanted nothing to do with it and wouldn't let us get a picture.

Grandma Tobi was coming into town to drop off Great-Grandpa Fred for a visit with Jimmy and Janet. We were the lucky ones that got to pick her up from the airport. Before we went to pick her up we went and played at the zoo. We got there a couple of weeks before their new exhibit opened though so we'll have to go back again. John didn't love going to the zoo because he didn't get to enjoy looking at all the animals, he was constantly counting to four to make sure none of the kids had disappeared! I was running around like a crazy lady with Jordan trying to get him to eat and changing him when he had more than his diaper could manage. All in all, the kids had a great time and John and I survived!

Hail in April

Can you see the yard difference? The one of the right is our yard - yep, we have the crappy yard in the neighborhood. Maybe next year we won't be too busy to put the weed killer down sooner!

The kids loved the hail at the end of April, until they went out into it. They didn't believe me when I told them that it would hurt when it hit them! Funny how Mom is so smart, even when they think that I'm so stupid.

Brothers

I think the pictures speak for themselves! Jordan was three weeks old and Drew absolutely loves him!

Happy Easter

Jordan's first Easter - it was exhausting, he napped most of the day!

The Easter bunny left each of the four older children a basket and a picture of them in front of the Logan Temple.

It was nice to have a big backyard where the Easter Bunny could hide the eggs. They were so cute filling their baskets and then emptying them in a big bucket so they could go refill their baskets. It was fun to have all five kids for Easter, next year we'll have five searching for eggs!

Two days after her 7th birthday Alexis lost her second tooth! She was so excited!

For Jordan's two week appointment Madison came with me. She insisted on wearing four very different hair flowers, she thought she was the hottest thing walking! Who can argue with such a cute little lady?

Madison has a thing for wearing multiple unmatching outfits and multiple different hair things. She's adorable, even when she doesn't match in any sense of the word.

Water and Rainbows

A few days after having Little Man we had a good rain storm and got a double rainbow!

The kids found some plastic cups and froze water in them - without my knowledge. They then peeled the cups off and put the left over ice outside to use for ice bowling. It wouldn't have been a big deal but a number of their water cups spilled in the freezer. If we're being honest there is probably still water frozen at the bottom of the freezer!

New Baby = More Messes

The kids thought it would be great fun to put water in the Easter grass and stir it up! Not sure what it was supposed to be, but it ended up being a mess!

Post baby (2 days) - all this laundry is washed, just not folded. At least my kids were wearing clean clothes!

Drew took pictures of Little Lady pulling all the coloring books out while munching on food. She loves to be able to do whatever it is that she wants while mom is feeding!

Drew wanted to see what a skewer and some push pins would do to a carton of milk. When he realized that it was leaking he put them back in and then he put a rag underneath it to help clean it up.
Oh the messes that they made during the first couple of weeks home with our new Little Man!
