Windy Days in August

Here's what happens when you keep bouncing the kitchen chair even when mommy says not to. He fell back and hit his head. We didn't realize that it was cut open until half an hour later!

 Lipstick anyone?

We all love corn - especially when it comes from our garden.

Alexis and Ashley did a beauty salon. They actually got one lady to stop and get her hair done - and she paid!

Over the course of several days, they would hook up all the strollers and wagons and cars they could and then they would pull the kids around and around.

They got so much air with these bags on their arms that they had to take them off! It was fun while it lasted.

We preferred to watch from the porch - while eating rice!

Allergies to Mosquitoes are NO Fun

The poor lady swells up so big every time she gets bit by a nasty mosquito. This makes her miserable and itchy.

She loves to dance and she loves her 'babies', this one happens to be a plastic grasshopper.

Happy 3rd B'day to Jocelyn

A new dance dress for the princess.

A trip to Porcupine Reservoir - which said that it had six sandy beaches to play on - it didn't have any, at all, anywhere. And, the water drops significantly as soon as you get in, and it's all mossy and slimy so you slip in even when you don't want to go too far in. Not the best place for little tiny children. However, it had some amazing cliffs and John had a fabulous time jumping off of them!

Jocelyn LOVES Nemo. The decorations on this cake are still being carried around to this day, nearly six months later! They were her favorite part of the birthday gifts.
Her stats at three are:
Weight: 26.2 lbs = 9%
Height 35.5 in = 18%
She's still itsy bitsy!

And what party is complete without some chickens to help clean up the floor? John took a broom and started chasing them trying to get them out. One kept flying into the big bay window in an attempt to escape while John kept swinging the broom. Drew walked into the kitchen calmly picked the chicken up and carried back outside. It was pretty funny and I wish I would've caught it on video.

July 2013

The only people thus far liking the new cat bed are the humans.

She loves to act like a mermaid!

 Fill cup....

 Dump cup....

 repeat.

We get a ton of bikers going past our house during the summer. This was one of the bigger groups that went by.

Look Mom! I can do makeup just like you!

Emma left her glasses here and the kids were having way too much fun with them.

A human in the cat bed again, this time with a cell phone.

 She dressed herself.

This cute little monkey had just had a bath. I dressed him and then went to get Jocelyn's clothes. By the time I got them and got back to the bathroom he had jumped back into the tub! Isn't he clever?

Bear Lake Reunion

Not all of our children wanted to walk with us, apparently we're slow or something.

We got to go to a goat farm and see goats milked - in our swimsuits no less.

The cousins always have such fun together. Since Denny and Carrie were moving their bunch shortly after this it made it that much more fun to party one last time.
We ended up having to cut it one day short because Madison and Jocelyn had well child check-ups and Drew had a cardiologist appointment the last day of the reunion. But, I think we got to be there for all the fun stuff.
