January Fun

This is Humphrey. Alexis bought him with her own money. Mom thinks it's pointless to pay to own a rodent.

Madison dressed Jocelyn in a fun but very large dancing dress to go over to a friend's house. I told her she had to get regular clothes on before she could leave and this is how Madison remedied the problem. Dress underneath, normal clothes on top. It was fun to see Jocelyn with a very large back-end. She was still adorable.

Madison LOVES my red high heels. They make her 'feel like a teenager'. I'm not ready. Not even close to ready.

Post top knot. She thought it was hysterically funny.

I took a picture of the girls coloring together. A sweet nice picture. Then Madison noticed that I had a camera and this is what happened. (It happens every. single. time.)

Chair Re-Do

If you have 3-D glasses, they help you see everything better. They even make old boring brown chairs come alive again!

We found six of these chairs for $15! That's right $15! Two had broken seats and they all were u-g-l-y. John left to go on a work trip for a few days so I got to work on the chairs. I like to do some sort of project while he is gone. It not only makes the time go faster, but it makes for a fun surprise when he gets back. Like a souvenir just for him!

First was the sanding and then the Kilz.

Then came the painting. Someone - Jordan - decided to 'help' me paint a few chairs. Luckily it was the yellow and not one of the other colors! My friend Jeannie came over and helped paint too! It took an entire day to paint them. But it was worth it. I didn't have them polyurethaned completely before John got home so he got to help with that and with putting the plastic over the new fabric. We all love them. Except maybe John, but he's a great sport about it.

My chairs! All told it cost about $50.00 for all six! Not too bad!

Christmas Morning

Christmas Fun

 Looks comfortable doesn't it?

There is nothing better than having friends over. Except maybe gathering a bunch of stuffed animals and putting them on the table!

More fun in the living room.

O Christmas Tree

This year instead of putting ornaments on the tree the kids wrote nice things that they did for other people on the tags and then put them on the tree. They were hoping that if they filled the tree with nice things they had done for other people that Santa would replace the tags with decorations!

Santa came through! He even left some of Rudolph's bells on the door! (I think that was Jocelyn's favorite part!) The kids were so excited on Christmas morning when their tree was decorated and Santa had left his gifts!

Christmas Party

 Santa and Mrs. Claus.
Jocelyn and Jordan missed out because they weren't feeling well.

We did bowling and Alexis loved that we were glowing!

Christmas Drew

I woke up before anyone else one morning - it's a VERY rare thing for that to happen - and I found Drew asleep under the tree. He woke up as soon as he heard the camera, but I caught him all snuggled up!

It's not very often that you get to lose both front teeth right before Christmas! It was even more fun because they got to share it together!
