Not the actual colors, John's phone didn't pick them up well.
For the baby's room I found these really cute Hawaiian flowers but didn't know what to do with them. After looking through some wallpaper books, I found this bright green wallpaper and thought they would look adorable together. However, the wallpaper was going to cost about a hundred dollars and I wasn't willing to spend that much. So, I got John to tape the wall off and we painted it on. We didn't find out what we're having, but I put a very light pink on two of the walls for an accent. So, technically right now we have a little girls room, which is what I think we're having. I made sure it could easily be turned into a boys room though, imagine some surfboards and such, it would look cute. Anyway, we haven't put the flowers up permanently yet we're still trying to figure out where they should go, and John doesn't like the idea of them being up at all if it's a boy. So, maybe we'll completely finish after the birth.
Drew has been doing much better in the health department. We haven't had a major illness in a while, it's been nice and I'm sure he's enjoying it too. He has started to talk more, and to use words that have more than one syllable. He's also climbing into things and trying to do more of what Alexis does. It's nice to see him progressing so quickly!! He has started potty training himself. If we are going to the bathroom, he'll want to go too, and he actually goes!! He has also started to tell us when he needs to poop, it's heavenly thinking about not having to change poopy diapers. Although he's not perfect at it and we still have a ways to go, it's nice that we're already going down that road.
Alexis has learned what attitude is in a big way. She doesn't act like a three year old, she acts like a thirteen year old. The other day John was cleaning out the van and she told him that she wanted her car seat in the very back. John told her that he wasn't going to put it back there. Her prompt reply was: "It wasn't a question". Needless to say, it didn't go back there. She also really wants a cat, she's not getting one. We told her that we had too many animals already and so we couldn't have one, thinking this would stop the relentless asking. A few seconds later she looks at us and says: "We could give Sandy (dog) to Grandma and the fish to Aunt Angie, then we can get a cat!!" She keeps us on our toes in more ways than we can count, but it's kind of fun to see where her little mind takes her.
