Celebrating

Eating lunch at school with Alexis! The kids loved being able to go to school for lunch with Alexis and Alexis was equally excited for us to come and eat with her!

For Drew's fifth birthday and Alexis' reading reward we went to Pizza Pie Cafe. The food wasn't too bad, which was surprising. The kids loved the salad bar and they thought that the dessert bar was too sugary! What parent in their right mind is going to complain about that?

Steph and Ikani came up for Drew's birthday party day and we went to Golden Corral.
Have I mentioned that my kids LOVE buffets? If you look at all the kids faces, you'll notice they're all covered in chocolate. They have a chocolate dipping fountain and my kids LOVED it. Drew preferred the strawberries with no chocolate though!

Lagoon '11

On our way to Lagoon we saw this super cool toy driving down the road!

This is pretty much how empty the park was! We only had to wait a couple of times to get on the rides! The kids rode rides all afternoon and probably rode more rides than most people can fit in a day!

Can you tell that Drew is super excited to ride Bombora again?

John took Alexis and Drew on the sky ride and then the Ferris Wheel. The kids thought the sky ride was super cool! We didn't dare take the two younger squirmers on the sky ride for fear they'd fall.

Alexis was finally big enough to ride on some of the "big kid" rides. She loved the White Rollercoaster and The Bat. Both she and Drew enjoy getting their blood pressure raised due to fear!

Our future nerd

Jocelyn has a serious attachment to the computer keyboard and mouse. She will throw a royal tantrum if she can't carry both of them with her, wherever she goes, up and down the stairs, to the table, in bed, you get the idea.

No need to fear, they're still making messes!

Hot pink nail polish on the television. . .

. . . on the speaker and wall. . .

. . . on the television stand. . .

. . . and all over Madison and her dress.
Drew and Madison found a hot pink nail polish and decided to have a painting party. They tried to tell us they didn't do it, but it was VERY obvious who had and had not been involved in painting. Drew was sneaky and snuck into the tub before we realized that he was a part of the painting party too.

While John and I were downstairs assessing the damage done by our munchkins Jocelyn decided to fill the toilet with toilet paper and top it off with some air freshener.

Finishing Sept.

John bet Grandpa Rod that BYU would beat Utah. John lost. He looks a little too smiley for having lost though.

Jocelyn is getting so big! She loves to get her nails clipped and she loves to try to clip them herself!

John is such a trooper and the kids love playing with him on all the park toys.

Do you see that little tiny person in between the tree branch and the trampoline? That's not a baby sasquatch, that's little Jocelyn! Jocelyn likes to stand out on the deck with Annie (the dog) and play. Usually when Annie starts coming inside it means that Jocelyn has come back in and found something new to do. This particular day I didn't see Jocelyn come back in, but the dog was in the house so I figured she was in. About five minutes later while doing dishes I noticed that little person walking around the back yard by herself! She has such an adventurous spirit!

Madison has lost her title

Does this face remind you of a baby monkey? A baby monkey that knows they're in trouble?
Jocelyn seems to have taken over Madison's title of naughty little imp. Madison has been pretty good. Nothing too crazy or abnormal for a kid her age. Jocelyn seems to find all naughty things and then proceed to make them as messy as possible. She enjoys playing the toilet - yes, the toilet. I can't bring myself to go get the camera while I know she's playing in the toilet, it's too nasty. She knows it's naughty and she'll go hide in my bathroom where I can't hear her so she can play to her hearts content. Yuck!

Jocelyn was quiet, a bad thing. I caught her playing in the recycling bin with the left overs of melted ice cream!

Making sure that all parts of her are saturated. Notice the hair? She rubbed it in pretty good.

The shirt must be fully covered as well.

I took off her clothes and put them in the washer. When I returned she had taken the ice cream bucket and put it on her head. Before I could get the camera she'd gone to this.

Again with rubbing it in.

Notice her little foot up on the table? For some reason she thinks that when she's at the table she should prop her foot up. It's usually completely on the table but she was so excited to play peek-a-boo that she let it slip down a little.

While I was doing dishes Jocelyn became quiet again. I found her sitting in the cereal drawer. She pulled it out, sat down and helped herself to all the cereals she could reach.
While at the dentist office she wanted to go back to the patient rooms and John wouldn't let her get past him to get there. She ran to the front door and waited for John to arrive. Once he got there she took off running to the patient rooms and John had to actually jog to catch her before she made it! She's going to be a handful!

Dancing baby

Jocelyn LOVES this drum toy. She pushes it all around the house while keeping the "music" going the entire time! She loves to clap along and then she'll throw her hands up in the air and start waving all around. She's so cute and happy while she's doing it. If you dare to turn off her "music" she'll scream and cry until you fix it! She's got some personality I tell you!
