Notice how the middle row's line goes underneath the third row and around so as not to cross any lines.
Seriously.
He encountered a small problem when he didn't think he could go around the line without crossing it. There was no crying, but he was very perplexed as to how to get it done if he couldn't go around the line.
When we asked him why it was such a big deal, we found out that if he crosses a line he won't win.
It's okay to scribble though!
At midnight we heard our trampoline take a trip. The wind had come through and taken it from the backyard to the front yard. Luckily we heard it before it hit the main road that goes through this little town.
If you look closely, you can see the grass stuck where the leg poles go.
It also bent the trampoline. We haven't figured out how badly it's bent as it's still bad weather and we haven't been able to put it back up.
Madison likes to make this face, she doesn't even have to be on the toilet.
If you make it back at her, she'll immediately smile, when you do that, she'll go back to this face. She thinks that it is such a fun game!
Here she is telling me I shouldn't be taking pictures of her on the toilet!
She has also learned how to say the word scary, pronounced scaw-ee.
It's exciting that she's talking and using bigger words, but this is one word that I wish she wouldn't have learned. EVERYTHING is now scaw-ee. Having her just say that over and over isn't the part that kills me. She will literally start screaming it and shaking and refusing to move.
It is a great response for something that is appropriate, like a snake, but not for what she's using it for. She refused to come into my room because John's winter glove was on the floor and it was scaw-ee. She climbed up on the top bunk and refused to come down because it was scaw-ee. When I finally went to get her, I found out that she now thinks that her doll from Santa is scaw-ee, to the point that she refuses to go into the room if she can see it. There are a number of other scaw-ee things around the house now and it's getting a little old, very quickly.
Hopefully she gets over this SOON!
Our ward is having it's first birthday tonight and they want everyone to bring a cake.
This is our donation. It's not perfect, but I got rid of most the frosting left over from Alexis' birthday party!
(Don't worry, I refrigerated it so that it didn't go bad.)
The kids are excited to go and eat lots of cake tonight!
I don't have a picture, but Alexis is doing great with her reading. She is half way through her big Dick and Jane book. She has to read each chapter by herself without help to get her reward.
She has some great motivation to finish it as her reward is getting to go play with Mary for an entire day!!
